Argentina's National Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of flight instructor Leandro Andres Bertazzo on 4/7. The incident occurred in Toledo, central Argentina, while Bertazzo was instructing 22-year-old student pilot Rosario in a Cessna 150 aircraft.

As the aircraft reached an altitude of about 260 meters, Bertazzo suddenly told the student: "You know what you have to do, keep going." He then removed his headphones, unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the door, and jumped.

Despite her fear, Rosario regained control, landing the plane safely without damage. She contacted authorities to pinpoint the victim's location. Rescue teams later found the male pilot's body at the scene.

Eduardo Alvarez, director of Flying Parrot Cordoba flight school where Bertazzo worked, stated that the pilot showed no unusual behavior before the flight.

"Opening an aircraft door mid-flight is very challenging, similar to trying to open a car door while driving at 200 km/h," Alvarez said, also commending the student's landing efforts.

According to the victim's family, Bertazzo had previously worked as a flight instructor in Chile. Before the incident, he was experiencing a period of psychological distress and seeking specialized medical support.
