Trinh Thi Ngoc, a garment worker at a factory in Yen Phu, was surprised to win the first prize of 50 million VND after drinking a Number 1 energy drink.
Ngoc said she usually discards the label after finishing the drink. However, on one occasion, she decided to try her luck by peeling off the label and texting the code to participate in the promotional program. Initially, she received a message saying she hadn't won a phone card. A few days later, she was notified that she had won the first prize, a substantial reward from her everyday beverage.

Ngoc's family previously lived in Ngoc Lac district. Due to financial difficulties, in 2021, they moved back to her mother's home in Yen Phu commune. Her parents gave them a plot of land to build a small house. Without any farmland, both Ngoc and her husband work as garment factory workers.
"Working further away might bring higher income, but we chose to stay in our hometown to be close to our children, even though our finances are tighter. I still owe 200 million VND for the house construction," Ngoc shared.
As piecework garment workers, to earn extra income, Ngoc and her colleagues often work through their lunch breaks. "Whenever we feel sleepy, my colleagues and I often drink Number 1 energy drink to stay alert," she revealed.
Ngoc said that after receiving the 50 million VND cash prize, she would treat her colleagues. She also plans to give her parents and siblings a small share of the "good fortune." The remaining amount will be used to pay off part of her outstanding house construction debt.

Two participants from Quang Ngai and Ninh Thuan won the second prizes, each receiving an iPad Air 6 M2 tablet worth 17.6 million VND. A customer in Tay Ninh received the third prize, an AirPods Max headset worth 13 million VND. A fourth prize - a JBL Partybox speaker worth 10.9 million VND - went to a participant from Phu Tho.
