A representative for Vo Huu Linh Architects stated that a successful project is not measured by its form or scale, but by its ability to provide positive living experiences where people connect with nature, family, and themselves. This philosophy underscores the company's approach to design.
Each project begins by incorporating fundamental elements: welcoming natural light, ensuring efficient airflow, and integrating greenery, water features, and spaces that foster connections among family members. Instead of relying on complex technical systems, the company prioritizes harnessing natural conditions from the initial design phase. This approach creates cool, energy-efficient living spaces that can adapt to the modern urban environment in the long term.

Beyond aesthetic value, Vo Huu Linh Architects aims for architecture to become an integral part of a living ecosystem. In this system, every void holds meaning, every breeze is utilized, and every space contributes to physical and mental well-being, fostering lasting community values.
This perspective is clearly demonstrated in WMS House, the project recently honored with the 2026 Asia's Best Residential Architecture Design award.

WMS House was developed on a 5 x 24 meter townhouse plot in Da Nang, stemming from the desire to create a peaceful living environment in a bustling city. Moving beyond the familiar enclosed tube house model, the project is designed as a vertical ecosystem. Here, a continuous system of voids combined with a central water courtyard integrates light, wind, water, and greenery as key elements organizing the space.
Floor voids create visual connections between levels, allowing family members to sense each other's presence while maintaining privacy. Furthermore, natural ventilation and lighting, along with restrained material use, reduce energy consumption, providing a cooler, quieter, and more sustainable living environment.
The recognition of WMS House at AADA 2026 also aligns with this year's award theme, "Influential Asia." The awards ceremony, held within Ngoc Rong Cave—a natural wonder over 150 million years old—further emphasized the message of harmony between architecture, nature, and sustainable development. These values are shaping global architectural thinking in the context of striving for Net Zero.
