The discovery site is located in a residential area, surrounded by many households. Over the past two days, authorities sealed off the area, evacuated people and livestock from the danger zone, erected warning signs, and established checkpoints to ensure safety.
On the morning of 24/6, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, in coordination with the Do Luong Commune Military Command, defused the detonator and transported the bomb to the Area 5 - Anh Son Regional Defense Command base for destruction.
This marks the largest bomb ever discovered in Do Luong commune.
