Vietnam Airlines reported that flight VN524, operated by an Airbus A350 carrying nearly 250 passengers, departed from Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of 24/6, bound for Shanghai, Trung Quoc.
During the journey, a Vietnamese passenger in seat 1K showed signs of an unusual medical condition. The cabin crew provided first aid and assistance according to standard procedures, but the passenger's condition did not improve.

The aircraft landed at 10:59 (local time), and airport medical personnel transported the passenger to the nearest medical facility for observation and treatment.

The flight then departed at 12:10 on the same day, continuing its journey to Shanghai. According to Vietnam Airlines, the diversion was made based on an assessment of the passenger's actual condition and in compliance with operational and flight safety procedures.
Recently, the airline has frequently diverted or made unscheduled landings for passenger medical emergencies. Examples include flights from Frankfurt to Hanoi landing in Kolkata, An Do; from Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh City landing in Istanbul, Tho Nhi Ky; and a flight from Hanoi to Siem Reap landing in Da Nang.
The airline advises passengers to proactively assess their health before each trip. If there are any unusual symptoms, passengers should consult a doctor and consider their suitability for air travel.
