Car destroyed by fire in Quang Ngai pagoda grounds

A 7-seater car parked at Kim Quang pagoda in Son Ha commune unexpectedly caught fire with thick black smoke billowing around noon on 16/5.

Around 11 a.m., a car parked behind the Nguyet Mon gate within the pagoda grounds in Ha Thanh village suddenly caught fire. Many Buddhists and local residents raised an alarm, trying to extinguish the flames and notifying authorities.

The fire quickly engulfed the vehicle, sending black smoke high into the air, covering the pagoda gate area and threatening to spread to a nearby residential neighborhood.

According to local residents, the pagoda regularly used the vehicle, which was valued at approximately one billion dong. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
