House fire in a densely populated area of Da Lat

A fire broke out in a two-story house in Da Lat, quickly spreading to a neighboring house and destroying much property, on the morning of 19/4.

Around 9:30 AM, a fire erupted in a two-story house located at the corner of To Ngoc Van and Nguyen Thi Dinh streets in Cam Ly ward. Residents attempted to extinguish the flames with water, but their efforts were unsuccessful due to numerous flammable items inside the house. The incident occurred in a densely populated residential area.

Anh Huy, who lives near the scene, stated that the fire originated from the ground floor ceiling. The hot, dry weather conditions caused the blaze to spread rapidly, alarming many residents. Occupants inside the house managed to escape safely, and neighbors assisted in moving property and clearing pathways.

Lam Dong provincial police dispatched multiple fire trucks and dozens of officers to the scene. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 10:20 AM.

The fire caused no human casualties, but it destroyed all property within the initial house and spread to two adjacent homes.

Authorities determined the initial cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
