Thaco Group is implementing a landscape renovation project at the Tan Son Nhat airport gateway, including the Lang Cha Ca roundabout. This project, structured as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Build-Transfer (BT) contract without payment requirements, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed before 2/7.
The design for the Lang Cha Ca roundabout involves landscape improvements, new lighting, and a revised central symbol. The centerpiece is a 5-meter diameter sphere, placed on a 1,5-meter high base, with a white-grey stainless steel surface. The sphere's body features a gilded stainless steel Lac bird bas-relief, while its spiral base evokes the bird's flight.

The surrounding area of the roundabout will also undergo improvements, including the addition of artistic lighting to enhance the airport gateway's nighttime appearance. Lang Cha Ca is a long-standing intersection in Ho Chi Minh City, connecting Cong Hoa, Hoang Van Thu, Tran Quoc Hoan, Le Van Sy, and Bui Thi Xuan streets. Previously, the city constructed a steel overpass here, but retained the central roundabout with its familiar blue and red globe symbol.

Beyond the Lang Cha Ca roundabout, the project also includes upgrades to routes connecting to Tan Son Nhat's T3 and T2 terminals. These enhancements involve renovating sidewalks, median strips, overpass railings, planting trees and ornamental flowers, and installing new lighting systems. With a preliminary total investment of approximately 230 billion VND, the project aims to create a cohesive and modern look for the airport gateway area.
