According to Tuan, the support levels follow Decision 11/2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Specifically, households with up to 4 members will receive 8 million VND per month. For each additional member from the fifth person onwards, an extra 2 million VND per person per month will be added, but the total support will not exceed 24 million VND per household per month.
This support will be provided from the time residents hand over the land until they are allocated resettlement housing, an estimated duration of two to three years during the project's implementation.
Ben Thanh Ward authorities are collaborating with compensation, support, and resettlement units to conduct surveys, measurements, and counts to establish a compensation plan. This plan will be publicly displayed, and feedback will be collected from landowners whose land is subject to acquisition, as regulated.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council approved the investment policy for the Ma Lang area and Ga - Gao market renovation project on 19/6. It will be implemented as a public-private partnership (PPP) under a build-transfer (BT) contract, with a preliminary total investment exceeding 16,369 billion VND.
According to the plan, the project will be implemented from 2026 to 2029, with groundbreaking scheduled for Quarter III this year. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, with operation commencing in 2029. Compensation and site clearance are anticipated to take one year, starting next August.
The project affects approximately 1,651 households across the two areas. Specifically: the Ma Lang area has about 1,459 households with nearly 4,700 residents; the Ga - Gao market area has 192 households with 744 residents.
Upon completion, the city plans to construct nearly 2,300 social housing units for on-site resettlement, including about 1,400 units in the Ma Lang area and 760 units in the Ga - Gao market area, along with a synchronized system of schools, technical infrastructure, and social infrastructure.

The Ma Lang area, also known as the Nguyen Cu Trinh quadrilateral, spans 6,8 hectares and is situated between four roads: Nguyen Trai, Cong Quynh, Tran Dinh Xu, and Nguyen Cu Trinh. This area was formerly a cemetery before 1975, after which it developed into a densely populated residential zone. Currently, it contains over 530 homes with areas under 20 m2, most of which are dilapidated.
Meanwhile, the Ga - Gao market area is located between Nguyen Thai Hoc, Vo Van Kiet, and Yersin roads. It is a traditional market that has existed since before 1975 but has since deteriorated.
