The Hoiana Aquaman will take place on 26/7 at Hoiana Resort & Golf in Da Nang. This marks the first time, after three seasons, that the event comes to the tourism capital of Central Vietnam. The Super Early Bird phase, which concluded on 1/7, saw over 1,000 registrations, nearing the event's target of 1,500 athletes.

Many athletes find this year's Hoiana Aquaman appealing due to its favorable competition conditions. Nguyen Thi Khanh Ly, the Aquaman Vietnam 2022 runner-up and a Da Nang resident, noted that the sea area near Cua Dai Bridge features calm waves and clear blue waters, similar to My Khe Beach in central Da Nang. This area also has minimal strong currents, providing ideal conditions for athletes.

The running course in this area boasts pristine, natural scenery and wide, 100% closed internal roads. This design aims to inspire athletes and ensure their safety during the race.

The event's most significant highlight is the expansion of race distances. In addition to the individual Aquaman (2km swim, 21km run), Half Aqua, Sprint Aqua, and Aqua Kid categories, this season introduces Flash Aqua (200m swim, 2km run), Rush Aqua (300m swim, 2km run), Half Aqua Relay, and Sprint Aqua Relay for the first time.

According to the organizers, expanding the range of distances makes the event more accessible to various groups of participants. Shorter categories cater to runners keen on their first multisport experience, while relay options allow groups of friends or families to compete by leveraging their individual strengths.

Ngoc Minh, an amateur athlete from Da Nang, stated that the addition of Flash Aqua and Rush Aqua reduces barriers for newcomers. Participants do not need strong open-water swimming skills to experience the race process, transition areas, and the feeling of combining two sports.

Furthermore, the event's appeal stems from its venue. Hoiana Resort & Golf was recognized by the World Travel Awards as the "World's Leading Fully Integrated Resort" in 2024 and 2025.

The resort boasts a 4 km private beach and comprehensive infrastructure for sports and recreation. Athletes competing can stay on-site, enjoy the resort's services, and eliminate travel time. Additionally, its location, a 20-minute drive from Hoi An Ancient Town, offers convenience for athletes wishing to combine their race with pre- or post-event tourism and exploration.

The event has now moved into its Regular registration phase, with a limited number of bibs available. Registration may close earlier than scheduled if the projected capacity is met.
