In the football category, coach Kim Sang Sik made a strong impression after a successful year, achieving a hat-trick of titles: winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, the 2025 U23 Southeast Asia Championship, and securing a gold medal at SEA Games 33. For women's football, coach Mai Duc Chung is recognized for medal-winning performances at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games and SEA Games 33.
The Olympic sports group stood out with a "shower" of medals at continental and SEA Games arenas. In swimming, coach Nguyen Hoang Vu led athletes to win two gold, seven silver, and six bronze medals at the 2025 Asian Championships, in addition to contributing a significant medal haul at SEA Games 33.
Voting for favorite athlete, coach 2025
Canoeing saw coach Luu Van Hoan make his mark with one gold medal at the Asian Championships, six gold medals at the Asian Junior Championships, and four gold medals at SEA Games 33. In rowing, coach Le Van Quang impressed by guiding his students to win six gold medals at the Asian Championships and four gold medals at SEA Games 33.
At the world and youth team levels, the list includes coach Tran Thi Vui (sepaktakraw) for her impressive achievements at the World Championships. Coaches Huynh Hoa Minh Nhat (chess) and Luu Van Thang (weightlifting) are highly regarded for their training efforts, which laid the foundation for young athletes to win numerous medals at world and Asian competitions in the past year.
The list also features many notable names such as Nguyen Thuy Ngan (wushu), Truong Minh Sang (gymnastics), and Tran Quoc Cuong (shooting). Detailed achievements of each individual are updated on the voting portal.

The favorite coach for disabled sports category has four nominees. Coach Dang Van Phuc (athletics) is included for his students' achievements at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix and World Abilitysport Games. Coach Le Quang Thai is associated with the significant achievements of powerlifter Le Van Cong at the World Championships. Coaches Bui Quang Vu (chess) and Nguyen Dang Vien (swimming) are also honored for bringing home many international and national medals.
A representative from the organizing committee stated that the nomination list not only acknowledges visible achievements but also honors the silent dedication of these mentors in designing training pathways and maintaining discipline for athletes.
Readers can participate in the voting by logging into MyVnE and selecting a maximum of five nominees per category. The voting portal is open until 24h on 6/3/2026. The organizing committee will select the three most favorite coaches and three most favorite disabled sports coaches for recognition.
The "Favorite Athlete, Coach of 2025" voting program is part of a series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day, organized by the Information - Communication Center for Sports (Department of Sports of Vietnam) in collaboration with FPT Online.

Weekly, the organizing committee conducts a random draw to select two readers to receive sports shoes from brands such as Puma, Xtep, Goya, with gifts changing weekly. This week, the number of prizes has increased to four.
Results will be announced via email and published on the program's website. If the organizing committee cannot contact the winner within 14 days of the announcement, the prize may be forfeited according to regulations.
