The VnExpress Marathon Can Tho 2025 kicked off on 14/9, attracting 9,000 runners. Tiger Balm, the Singaporean health care brand, served as the medical partner.

The brand has been associated with the VnExpress Marathon system for 7 years, receiving much affection and positive feedback from runners. At the VM Can Tho, Tiger Balm continued to offer a specialized care and recovery experience area at the expo, helping athletes warm up before the start, relax, and stretch after finishing. A team of technicians from the Traditional Medicine Hospital supported the 9,000 runners in this process.

At the booth, runners could directly experience the product line - from pain relief patches and massage oils to warming balms. The Eastern medicine formula, with scents of mint, eucalyptus, and cajuput oil, created a warm, relaxing sensation and soothed aches and pains. A special highlight was the Tiger Balm patch, designed to be thin, lightweight, adhesive, and provide a long-lasting warming effect.

A brand representative explained that warming up muscles before the race helps limit the risk of injury on the course. Meanwhile, proper stretching after finishing helps restore physical strength and maintain performance for subsequent races. "With the message of warm soothing - enduring companionship, we want to be a source of physical and mental support, helping each runner firmly surpass their limits and fully enjoy every moment on the track," the representative said.

Nam Nguyen, a recreational runner in Can Tho, said Tiger Balm is a favorite brand. He often uses the patches during races because of their pain-relieving effectiveness and the included auxiliary patch for secure placement. This structure helps the patch stay firmly in place even while competing. "Before the start, I usually take a sniff of Tiger Balm to feel more comfortable when entering the race," the runner shared.

Hong Nhung Tran, a runner who has held the top 1 spot in the Cat Tien Jungle Paths 50km for two consecutive years, said Tiger Balm is a companion in many training and competition activities. The brand's presence at the VM Can Tho gave runners like Nhung more peace of mind during their journey to explore the city on the Hau River. "I will visit the booth to relax, warm up, and recharge before the race," she said.

The VM Can Tho is the first VnExpress Marathon event in the Mekong Delta region, after 7 years of building the brand in major cities of central and northern Vietnam. Race kits were distributed on 12-13/9. The first distance - 42km - started at 2:30 a.m. on 14/9.
