African runners aspire to sweep All-Star 2026 awards

Damte, Marta, and Kenedy, three runners who previously won races in the VnExpress Marathon system, are confident of winning the men's 42km, women's 42km, and men's 21km at VM All-Star 2026.

The VnExpress Marathon All-Star 2026, Vietnam's first and only marathon with an entry standard, is set to feature many strong runners from Africa. Among them are Wendwesen Tilahun Damte (Ethiopia), Marta Tinsae Birehan (Ethiopia), and Kenedy Njogu Muhia (Kenya), who will compete in the men's 42km, women's 42km, and men's 21km distances, respectively. All three have previously won races in Vietnam and are considered strong contenders in the competition on the morning of 8/2.
