Ronaldo scores a brace on his return

Cristiano Ronaldo concludes over one month of injury treatment with a brace in Al Nassr's 5-2 victory over Al Najma in round 27 of the Saudi Pro League on 3/4.

Ronaldo sustained a hamstring injury in the 3-1 victory over Al Fayha on 28/2. Over one month, the 41-year-old forward missed two Al Nassr matches and two for the Portugal national team. However, the thorough treatment proved worthwhile. He returned in top form, scoring two goals and making a significant contribution to the round 27 Saudi Pro League win.

Al Najma, currently at the bottom of the league table, surprised everyone in the match on the evening of 3/4. In the 44th minute, they launched a sharp counter-attack to open the scoring. Al Hamdan and Sadio Mane helped Al Nassr come from behind to lead 2-1 in first-half stoppage time, but could not prevent the opponent from hoping for points. Early in the second half, Felippe Cardoso scored from close range to equalize 2-2 for Al Najma.

When the team faced the risk of dropping points, Ronaldo took on a leadership role. He spearheaded the attack, executed decisive finishes, and scored crucial goals.

In the 56th minute, Ronaldo's direct free-kick hit the hand of an Al Najma player in the wall inside the penalty area. He then accurately converted the penalty kick, increasing the score to 3-2.

In the 73rd minute, after a cross from the right wing, Ronaldo took one touch before unleashing a powerful shot to make the score 4-2. The 41-year-old forward extended his scoring record to 967 goals.

With Ronaldo's brace, Al Nassr sealed the fate of the match. They played more comfortably and scored another goal in the 90+5th minute, with Mane tapping in from close range.
