*Alcaraz - Sinner: 8 p.m. today, 12/4, Hanoi time.
"I think this is a dream scenario for everyone," Alcaraz said after defeating Valentin Vacherot on saturday, 11/4. "I am fighting for my second Monte Carlo title, while Sinner is aiming for his first."
Since the ATP Finals in 11/2025, Alcaraz or Sinner have won all four tournaments they both participated in. The two top players in the world will aim for a dual victory in Monte Carlo; the winner will leave the Principality with the prestigious Masters trophy and the world number 1 ranking.
"My world number 1 ranking is at stake, which makes the final even more special," Alcaraz stated.

Alcaraz and Sinner faced each other six times in the final six months of 2025, but it was not until april this year that they stood across the net from each other again. Both continue to dominate the ATP Tour, but they have done so by taking turns at the top.
Alcaraz started the new year in the best form of his career, winning 16 consecutive matches. The Spanish player displayed peak tennis, serving effectively and showcasing diverse, powerful, and creative shot-making from the baseline.
After completing his Career Grand Slam at the Australian Open and winning again in Doha, Alcaraz led the ATP rankings with a lead of 3,150 points over Sinner.
However, just as they unleash powerful shots to counter each other in direct confrontations, they have done the same throughout the season. Sinner, who was eliminated in the Melbourne semifinals by Novak Djokovic and then suffered a surprising loss to Jakub Mensik in the Doha quarterfinals, has not been left behind.
Sinner has won 16 consecutive matches, losing only one set since march. The 24-year-old has triumphed at Indian Wells and Miami, and is now just one victory away from his first Masters 1000 title on clay against the defending champion.
Alcaraz drew significant attention for adjusting his serving technique earlier this year. Sinner has done the same and is having the best serving season of his career. "We have improved a lot of things," Sinner said regarding their progress. "From serving to changing return techniques, trying to increase intensity from start to finish in rallies."
The two rivals constantly compete, not only in matches but also throughout the season. They push each other to reach new heights, continuously improving to find even the smallest advantage over the other. After Sinner only lost 5 games to world number 3 Alexander Zverev in the semifinals, he quickly emphasized that the match against Alcaraz is important not just for the title, but also as an opportunity to "clash."
"Meeting him at least once before Paris will be very good for me, to test my level on this surface and see what I need to improve," Sinner commented. "Whether I win or lose, it will still be a valuable experience and help me know where I need to progress."

Alcaraz leads Sinner 10-6 in their head-to-head record, including four victories in six encounters last year. The Spanish player has also won three of their four meetings on clay. However, they are completely balanced in many notable statistics.
In 16 ATP Tour clashes, both have won a total of 1,651 points each. They also both hold 26 ATP Tour titles and have each spent 66 weeks at world number 1.
The last time the two stars met on clay was in last year's Roland Garros final, where Alcaraz saved three championship points to achieve an incredible comeback victory. The gap between them is almost nonexistent; either player can win. The tennis they display breaks the limits many previously thought about both players.
But today in Monte Carlo, only one will find ultimate joy. As they step onto Court Rainier III, the question is no longer whether the two top seeds will create an exciting match, but rather to what new level they will collectively elevate the quality of their showdown.
