The draw sets up a rematch of the 2025 Club World Cup final, a game Chelsea won 3-0 with a brace from Cole Palmer and a goal from Joao Pedro.
"I am very excited. PSG is a great team. I have experience playing against them in France and always admired their style of play. Luis Enrique has done an excellent job there," Rosenior stated regarding the draw during his press conference ahead of the Premier League's round 28 match against Arsenal.

According to the English coach, these are the types of matches every coach and player anticipates: "These are the games you live for in football. It will be an exciting contest between two major clubs. However, we have three crucial matches to focus on first," he stated.
During his tenure at Strasbourg, Rosenior faced PSG three times, securing one win, one draw, and one loss. Earlier this season, his Strasbourg side drew 3-3 at Parc des Princes before his move to Chelsea in 1/2026.
Chelsea's immediate priority, however, is their upcoming away match against city rivals Arsenal and improving their position in the Premier League. The Blues are currently fifth with 45 points, level with Liverpool and trailing Man Utd by three points.
Rosenior believes the team is on the right track. "I don't consider any match harder than another; each has distinct tactical demands. I am pleased with the squad and our current start. We have won 8 out of 12 matches, and it could have been 10. That's a respectable achievement," he stated.
The 41-year-old coach emphasized, "This club must compete in the Champions League. When I took over, the team was eighth. Now, we are back in contention."

Meanwhile, PSG coach Luis Enrique expressed confidence ahead of the rematch with Chelsea. "I am always content with the draw. Facing one of England's strongest teams will be very interesting. We know them well, but there will be no sense of revenge as this is a different competition," he commented.
The Spanish coach acknowledged that PSG needs to improve their performance but expressed trust in recent positive developments. "We have effectively managed various issues and situations, which makes me optimistic," Enrique added.
