Dong Nai FC has announced internal disciplinary actions against two of its players, Le Van Son and Huynh Tan Sinh, following their rough play against striker Nguyen Dinh Bac during a V-League 2026-2027 match. The incidents occurred during their 3-0 loss to Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) on the evening of 20/9.

In the 16th minute of the match at Dong Xoai stadium, Dinh Bac and Van Son were involved in a confrontation near the left touchline. After Dinh Bac rushed in, Van Son elbowed him in the face, causing Dinh Bac to fall to the ground. Referee Le Vu Linh immediately issued a yellow card to Dinh Bac for aggression and a red card to Van Son for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Later in the 78th minute, defender Huynh Tan Sinh challenged Dinh Bac for the ball. As the visiting team's striker shielded the ball effectively, Tan Sinh found himself at a disadvantage. Unable to gain possession, he kicked Dinh Bac twice from behind, causing the opponent to fall. Tan Sinh subsequently received a yellow card.

Van Son received a red card for fouling Dinh Bac.

This morning, Dong Nai FC announced its internal penalties. Van Son and Tan Sinh were each fined 20 million dong. Additionally, Tan Sinh received a one-match ban.

A club statement emphasized, "Any acts of reaction, loss of control, or lack of restraint, whether stemming from pressure or momentary emotion, that negatively impact teammates, opponents, the club's image, or the club's policy of promoting beautiful, dedicated play, are unacceptable and will be severely corrected. Dong Nai FC, on behalf of Van Son and Tan Sinh, extends a sincere apology to player Dinh Bac and Cong An Ha Noi FC, hoping for understanding regarding the unfortunate situations that occurred during the match."

Beyond the club's internal disciplinary measures, the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has also gathered evidence and may soon issue additional penalties for the two Dong Nai players.

Dong Nai is a newcomer to the V-League this season, having won the First Division 2025-2026. After three opening rounds, they have suffered three consecutive losses against The Cong, Ha Tinh, and CAHN. With six goals conceded, no goals scored, two red cards, and three yellow cards, they currently sit at the bottom of the V-League standings.
