Exhausted in the final 3km, VnExpress Marathon Can Tho champion misses sub-3 finish

Le Thi Thu Ha aimed for a sub-three-hour full marathon but lost steam in the final stretch, slowing down to avoid "hitting the wall".

A sub-3-hour marathon is a coveted achievement for any amateur runner. In Vietnam, only 7 female amateur runners have accomplished this feat. Le Thu Ha has steadily improved her performance recently. Despite missing her goal this time, the Binh Phuoc runner believes she'll soon conquer it at one of the two remaining VnExpress Marathons in Hanoi and Hai Phong later this year.
