Quach Thi Bich Thuy, 41 years old and from Ho Chi Minh City, is a well-known figure on the podiums of Vietnam's amateur running community. She began her running journey in 2018 and quickly progressed, achieving a 42km personal record (PR) of 3 hours and 9 minutes. In late 2025, Thuy received a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer, a type characterized by its rapid development and high risk of metastasis.

The VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight 2026 is scheduled for 22/3. This year's event has set a record, attracting 13,000 athletes.
