The U19 Women's National Football Championship 2026 will feature five teams: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, and Than Khoang San Vietnam. Zantino Vinh Phuc will not participate this year. The teams will play a two-leg round-robin format to determine their rankings.
The first leg of the tournament is scheduled from 7/1 to 20/1/2026 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VYS). The second leg will take place from 25/1 to 7/2/2026 at the Ha Nam stadium in Ninh Binh.
This tournament serves as crucial preparation for some players ahead of the U20 Women's Asian Cup 2026, which will be held in Thailand from 1/4 to 18/4. Vietnam is placed in group A alongside the host nation, China, and Bangladesh.
The U20 Women's Asian Cup involves 12 teams divided into three groups. Teams will compete in a single round-robin format, with the top three first-place teams, three second-place teams, and two best third-place teams advancing to the quarterfinals.

VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu highlighted that Vietnam is one of the few countries in the region to host youth-level tournaments, despite the relatively small number of participating teams. He stated, "Through these events, many promising talents are discovered, trained, and gradually mature to contribute to their clubs and the national team." This championship is one of three Asian tournaments in which Vietnamese women's football participates, alongside the U17 and Asian Cup.
