In the 92nd minute, Daka headed an equalizer for Zambia, making it 1-1. The 27-year-old forward celebrated with a backflip, but executed it incorrectly, nearly breaking his neck upon landing. The botched landing left Daka motionless on the pitch, causing concern among teammates and fans. Fortunately, the Zambia player was lucky; after recovering from the pain, he stood up to play the remaining minutes.

Daka first made an impression by scoring 68 goals in 125 matches for Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. In 2021, Leicester City spent 28 million USD to acquire him. Following the 1-1 draw with Mali, Daka and his teammates are second in Group A. They will face Comoros and Morocco in their next two matches on 26/12 and 29/12. The Africa Cup of Nations features 24 teams divided into six groups. The top two teams from each group and the four best third-placed teams will advance to the round of 16.
