Trinh Quoc Hung, born in 1983 in Ha Noi, was a talented midfielder known for his intelligent and skillful play. He represented HN ACB in the V-League. Unfortunately, a severe injury forced him to retire in 2009, just as his playing career was peaking.

After retiring from professional play, Quoc Hung pursued coaching studies and obtained his coaching license. He contributed to youth training at the Ha Noi Sports Training and Competition Center, where he coached young football teams in the capital. His efforts led to a silver medal at the U15 National Championship in 2010.

Leveraging his deep football expertise, Quoc Hung transitioned into commentary. He began by covering amateur matches before becoming a professional commentator for a national television station. He gained recognition for his clear, friendly voice and insightful analysis. Most recently, during the 2026 World Cup, Quoc Hung participated in numerous commentary and match analysis programs.

Beyond football, "Hung Choc" also analyzed and commented on various other elite sports.

Quoc Hung's sudden passing has deeply saddened players, commentators, and fans alike. On his personal page, veteran commentator Quang Huy shared his fond memories of his younger colleague, now just a memory.

"Coach/commentator Trinh Quoc Hung was a kind, approachable, and friendly person. To VTVcab's loyal viewers, Quoc Hung always left a positive impression, remaining in their hearts due to his deep knowledge, friendly voice, fresh perspectives, and endless passion for football," Quang Huy wrote. "In real life, he was a model friend and colleague. He was always eager to learn from his seniors and tirelessly sought improvement. To his juniors, he consistently offered dedicated advice and guidance to help them grow stronger. Thank you, Quoc Hung, for the beautiful values you brought to audiences, to sports, and to football."
