According to UK media, Kanye West's team approached the north London club with plans to host a series of major concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as part of his musical comeback. However, Tottenham rejected the proposal due to concerns over the American rapper's history of antisemitic remarks, coupled with the club's long-standing ties to the Jewish community.

After failing to reach an agreement, Kanye turned to Wireless Festival, where his performance was approved. Wireless Festival is an annual rap and hip-hop music festival held in London, England, owned and managed by Live Nation. Kanye is currently scheduled to headline all three nights of the festival at Finsbury Park, London, on 10-12/7.
This decision has led to increasing criticism for the Wireless Festival organizers. Two major sponsors have already announced their withdrawal from the event.
Pepsi, the festival's main sponsor, announced the termination of its partnership. Soon after, Diageo, the group that owns brands like Guinness and Johnnie Walker, made a similar decision. Meanwhile, other partners such as AB InBev and PayPal have not yet commented on whether they will continue their association.

Kanye is a controversial figure, known for antisemitic statements and supporting fascism. In previous years, he consistently generated controversy by posting racist content on his personal page, leading many brands to terminate their contracts. In 2/2025, Ye promoted t-shirts featuring Nazi symbols produced by his Yeezy brand. Three months later, he released a song celebrating the ideology of dictator Adolf Hitler.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the invitation for Kanye to perform "deeply concerning," emphasizing that all forms of antisemitism are "unacceptable." Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey even called on the government to ban Kanye from entering the UK. The decision rests with Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, under immigration regulations that allow for the refusal of entry to individuals whose conduct or views could incite hatred.
The Jewish Leadership Council, an organization representing the Jewish community in the United Kingdom, also criticized Wireless Festival, deeming the invitation to Kanye "gravely irresponsible."
Currently, Tottenham has declined to comment, while Wireless Festival organizers have not issued an official response.
Kanye West, born in 1977 in Atlanta, US, began his music career in 1996. He later became one of the 21st century's most successful artists, selling over 140 million records and winning 24 Grammy awards. In 2/2021, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from the singer after nearly seven years of marriage. In 2022, he married Bianca Censori, who was formerly his subordinate.
