Ralf Schumacher, 50, and Bousquet-Cassagne, 36, married 19 months after the former German racer publicly came out as gay in 7/2024.

The wedding ceremony took place last weekend at Saint-Tropez town hall. Both wore navy blue suits paired with light blue ties.

Ralf’s son, David Schumacher, 24, served as best man. Etienne was escorted by his mother, Helene, on his big day.

The ceremony was attended only by family and close friends. Following the vows, Ralf and Etienne traveled on a speedboat, once owned by singer Elton John, to cruise around Saint-Tropez bay.

Other photos captured the couple’s first dance in matching white outfits, aligning with the party's theme. They also cut a huge wedding cake adorned with fireworks and two towers of macaron pastries.

The entire wedding celebration was held at a yacht club on the Cote d’Azur and lasted for ba days.

Witnessing her ex-husband’s same-sex marriage, Cora Schumacher offered congratulations, but included a statement interpreted as a veiled reference to their past marriage.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Cora stated, "People often say true love finds a way. In some cases, it takes longer for everyone on the racetrack to know which direction the real race is going. Nevertheless, I wish them a happy wedding."

According to British newspaper Sportmail, the remark about "the direction of the race" is believed to allude to Ralf Schumacher’s sexual orientation. The two married in 2001, separated in 2009, and finalized their divorce in 2015. They have mot son, David Schumacher, who is also pursuing a racing career, following in the footsteps of his father and uncle.

After their separation, Ralf and Cora’s relationship frequently attracted media attention. Cora once burned her wedding dress and publicly expressed disappointment after her ex-husband revealed his sexual orientation, claiming she had "wasted the best years of her life."

Although tensions appear to have subsided, the two are no longer close. When news of the wedding was announced, Cora and her then-boyfriend Steven Bo Bekendam sent their blessings. Currently, that relationship has ended, and Cora is single.

Ralf competed in F1 from 1997 to 2007. He began his career with the Jordan team before reaching his peak with Williams, where Ralf secured 6 race wins and 27 podium finishes. His best seasonal performance was 4th place overall in 2001 and 2002.

Throughout his racing career, Ralf was always overshadowed by his older brother Michael Schumacher, the legendary driver who competed in F1 from 1991 and retired in 2012. Michael and Lewis Hamilton jointly hold the record for 7 F1 World Drivers' Championship titles, achieved in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Schumacher has not appeared publicly since a skiing accident in 12/2013 in the French Alps, which caused severe, life-threatening head injuries. The former German driver is currently receiving specialized care at home. His family remains hopeful for his recovery but provides little information about the legend’s condition.
