On 29/8, Silva moved from Wolves to Dortmund for 26 million USD. The 23-year-old Portuguese forward played 73 matches for Wolves over five years, interspersed with loan spells at Anderlecht, PSV, Rangers, and Las Palmas.

Following the transfer, Silva posted a farewell letter to Wolves and their fans: "When I first arrived at Wolves, I was full of ambition, dreams, and the desire to make a difference, but I didn't meet expectations. But life has taught me to never give up, to fight twice as hard when things don't go according to plan. I've always tried to uphold this principle, pursuing happiness even when the road is rocky. I leave with mixed feelings, both sweet and bitter, but also with pride, knowing that I gave my all and never stopped fighting. Thank you, Wolves. From the bottom of my heart,".
Three days later, Uche moved from Getafe to Crystal Palace on loan. The 22-year-old Nigerian forward's farewell letter closely mirrored Silva's, differing only in the club name.
"The coincidence between the two letters raises questions about sincerity and plagiarism," German newspaper Bild commented. Upon learning of the situation, Silva provided proof of his authorship by posting a WhatsApp screenshot of the message he sent to his media advisor.

"Everyone can see that I wrote the farewell letter to Wolves myself on 22/8. I don't need any explanation. I did it myself to express my gratitude to Wolves," Silva added.
Uche has not yet commented on the letter. The 22-year-old Nigerian forward is expected to be a valuable addition to Crystal Palace's attack following the departure of Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal for 81 million USD.
