FPT Play and AAC jointly organized the tournament, in partnership with international media partner Pickleball World Communications (PWC) and professional operating unit Pickleball PVNA. The event takes place at VIAS Pickleball Academy, TP HCM, from 4/6 to 7/6/2026.
The tournament attracted over 500 players, including most of Vietnam's top-ranked players mentioned previously. Additionally, international stars such as Kaitlynn Hart (US), Roos Van Reek (Netherlands), Nicole Shoeman (Australia), Vivian Glozman (US), and Harsh Mehta (India) are participating.
Ms. To Nam Phuong, Deputy General Director of FPT Play, stated: "Pickleball is a sport within the premium sports content ecosystem that FPT Play invests in and develops. Our experience in organizing international sports tournaments and supporting major pickleball events previously has enabled FPT Play to expand its role with the Michelob ULTRA - Asia Open 2026 Pickleball Tournament. This marks a long-term investment strategy for pickleball in Vietnam, through organizing professional, high-caliber tournaments for the audience."
With a total prize pool of up to 3 billion VND, the tournament stands among the largest prize money events in Vietnam. Additionally, this marks the first time an official tournament in Vietnam has adopted the Rally scoring format (direct scoring on every shot), maximizing match pace.
