Sinner currently holds a 12-match winning streak at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, following his championship titles at the Paris Masters in 11/2025 and Indian Wells last week. The Italian player has won all 24 sets across these 12 matches. He will break Djokovic's record if he wins the first set of his third-round match against either 30th seed Corentin Moutet or Tomas Machac.

Six days after claiming his first title of the year at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Sinner defeated Damir Dzumhur 6-3, 6-3 on the Hard Rock Stadium center court in Miami. The world number two player aims to become the first to complete the Indian Wells and Miami double since Roger Federer in 2017.
Sinner hit nine aces and won 90% of his first-serve points to dominate world number 76 Dzumhur in their first encounter. The Italian player also performed well at the net during the 71-minute victory, winning 14 of 17 points when approaching the net.
"For me, the ability to transition during matches is crucial. That's an area we've worked hard to improve," Sinner said after the match on 21/3. "At times, I made a few unforced errors because I didn't have much time to adapt here. The conditions are very different from Indian Wells."
Many players find it challenging to adapt to Miami's fast hard courts after competing on the slower hard courts of Indian Wells the previous week. In his opening match, world number one Carlos Alcaraz defeated young talent Joao Fonseca 6-4, 6-4 in the second round, advancing to face Sebastian Korda in the third round. After the match, the 19-year-old rising star Fonseca openly compared Alcaraz and Sinner.
"You never know what Alcaraz's next shot will be," the Brazilian player said after his loss to Alcaraz. "I think Alcaraz has more 'weapons' than Sinner. Sinner is like a robot; he hits the ball very heavily and does almost everything perfectly. Alcaraz, on the other hand, can do it all: he hits topspin, heavy groundstrokes, moves well, and is good at the net. His game is harder to read than Sinner's."
