Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that Sinner arrived at a clinic on Via Fontana early on 5/8 for tests with his close physiotherapist. His team even recalled the specialist from vacation to address an issue concerning the world number 1 player.

Sinner spent about two hours at the clinic. Afterward, he checked into a nearby hotel to await the results and remain available for any further examinations.

This is not the first time Sinner's physical condition has been closely monitored this year. According to Italian media, the world number 1's team has been particularly cautious since Roland Garros, where he experienced physical problems during his match against Juan Manuel Cerundolo and ultimately lost. Since then, the Wimbledon champion has undergone more frequent medical examinations to minimize the risk of injury recurrence.

Despite this, Sinner's tournament schedule remains unchanged. The 25-year-old player is expected to fly to Cincinnati this weekend to participate in the Masters 1000 event, which begins on 13/8. This tournament also serves as his final warm-up for the US Open.

Sinner last competed in the Wimbledon final on 12/7. The Italian player defeated Alexander Zverev to successfully defend his title at the All England Club, securing his 5th career Grand Slam.

The Wimbledon title further highlights Sinner's nearly perfect season. Since the beginning of the year, Sinner has won several major tournaments, including 5 Masters 1000 titles, making him the youngest player in history to conquer all 9 events at this level.
