D1 faces a tougher challenge, competing in the 10 km race, starting from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at midnight. Honor stated the run aims to test the robot's speed, stability, and adaptability to various road surfaces. Meanwhile, A1 will participate in the 5 km race, starting from the KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) complex at 7h30. According to Honor, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will also join this distance, adding a notable presence to the event.
D1 has prior racing experience, demonstrating its capabilities on the track. In April, the robot finished first at the second Beijing E-Town Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon, completing the 21,0975 km distance in 50 minutes 26 seconds. This achievement significantly surpassed the human record of 57 minutes 20 seconds, set by Jacob Kiplimo in March. The event is part of a growing movement of robots participating in long-distance races in China. D1 also won the Excellent Design award, while A1 received the Excellent Running Posture award, recognizing their advanced engineering and performance.

According to Honor, this marks the first time the company has joined the parade as a team, and also the first time a smartphone brand has participated in the event, underscoring their commitment to innovation and public engagement.
Prior to their competitive debut, on 29/8 and 30/8, the two robots will appear at Honor's booths in KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the robots up close and take photos, offering a unique interactive experience with cutting-edge robotics.
