Vietnam's Audition team made a strong debut at SEA Games 33. On December 12 in Thailand, the team achieved two gold, two silver, and two bronze medals. The squad's six members, Le Thi Hoai Phuong, To Y Linh, Nguyen Hong Ngoc, Le Ngoc Truong Giang, Roan Cong Thanh, and Nguyen Van Huy, earned their spots through domestic tournaments to compete in men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles.

In the men's singles event, Le Ngoc Truong Giang and Roan Cong Thanh advanced through the qualifiers to the decisive rounds. Giang ultimately earned a silver medal, while Thanh secured a bronze. These marked the first medals for Audition Vietnam at this multi-sport event.

The women's singles event saw the team's strongest performance. Le Thi Hoai Phuong claimed the gold medal after the final rounds, with To Y Linh finishing second to take home a silver. Vietnam effectively secured the top two positions in this category.

Vietnam's second gold medal came in the mixed doubles event. The pairing of Le Thi Hoai Phuong and Le Ngoc Truong Giang triumphed over their opponents, securing the top spot and concluding the day with two gold medals.

Although Audition is a demonstration sport at SEA Games 33, meaning its medals do not contribute to the official overall medal tally, VTC Intecom, a strategic investor, views these results as a testament to its efforts in building a professional league system, organizing focused training, and providing comprehensive support to the athletes.

"This achievement holds significant spiritual value", a representative from VTC Intecom shared. "Vietnam's victories in two key categories demonstrate our strength against Thailand, the Philippines, and Laos."
