September 25 marks another busy day for the Vietnam Sports Delegation at ASIAD 2026, with numerous events scheduled from morning to evening. Notably, the men's football team will face Korea, and the women's football team will play China in their respective quarterfinals.

Badminton athletes from Vietnam will begin their competitions at 7:30 AM, Hanoi time. Nguyen Hai Dang will compete against an opponent from Bahrain in the men's singles qualifier. Simultaneously, Tran Dinh Manh and Pham Thi Khanh will play in the mixed doubles against Macao, while Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh will face Mongolia in men's doubles. In women's doubles, Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly will compete against Japan.

At 7:45 AM, Pham Quang Huy and Trinh Thu Vinh will participate in the mixed pistol qualification round. If they advance, the two athletes will proceed to the finals at 10:00 AM.

Swimming events start at 8:00 AM with Nguyen Thuy Hien in the women's 50m butterfly qualifiers. Pham Thanh Bao will compete in the men's 50m breaststroke at 8:07 AM, and Tran Hung Nguyen in the men's 200m backstroke at 8:28 AM. Nguyen Huy Hoang and Tran Van Nguyen Quoc will race in the men's 400m freestyle at 8:40 AM, while Nguyen Quang Thuan and Duong Van Hoang Quy will compete in the men's 200m butterfly at 9:04 AM.

The finals for these swimming events are scheduled for the afternoon. Nguyen Thuy Hien could return to the pool at 3:00 PM if she qualifies for the women's 50m butterfly final. Pham Thanh Bao will compete in the men's 50m breaststroke final at 3:05 PM, Tran Hung Nguyen in the men's 200m backstroke at 3:25 PM, Nguyen Huy Hoang and Tran Van Nguyen Quoc in the men's 400m freestyle at 3:50 PM, and Nguyen Quang Thuan and Duong Van Hoang Quy in the men's 200m butterfly final at 4:17 PM.

Canoeing features two significant finals in the morning. Huynh Cao Minh and Do Minh Thuan will compete in the men's K2 500m semi-finals at 8:00 AM. Should they qualify, they will proceed to the B final at 9:20 AM or the A final at 9:30 AM. At 9:40 AM, Hoang Thi Huong, Bui Mai Hanh, Hoang Thi Lam, and Do Thi Thanh Thao will vie for medals in the women's K4 500m final.

In athletics, Hoang Thanh Giang will compete in the long jump and javelin throw, part of the heptathlon, at 8:00 AM and 9:25 AM respectively, before entering the 800m qualification round at 6:11 PM. Ta Ngoc Tuong will participate in the men's 400m qualification at 8:30 AM. Hoang Thi Minh Hanh will compete in the women's 400m qualification at 7:15 PM, while the men's 400m event continues with the semi-finals or finals at 7:43 PM.

Fencing also has a packed schedule. Tran Thi Thuy Trinh, Nguyen Phuong Kim, and Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh will face the Philippines in the women's team epee round of 16 at 8:30 AM. If they advance, the Vietnamese team will compete in the quarterfinals at 9:50 AM, semi-finals at 2:20 PM, and the final at 5:20 PM.

Shooting includes two key events. Following the mixed pistol qualification at 7:45 AM, the final will take place at 10:00 AM. Three shooters, Phung Viet Dung, Nguyen Tam Quang, and Nguyen Minh Quang, will compete in the men's 50m rifle three positions qualification at 8:45 AM, with the final scheduled for 12:00 PM if they qualify.

Vo Thi Kim Anh will compete in women's 54kg boxing at 10:00 AM, facing an opponent from Chinese Taipei. Simultaneously, the Vietnamese women's handball team will play Uzbekistan in the qualification round.

Weightlifting will feature the women's 57kg final at 11:30 AM, with Quang Thi Tam participating. The day before, Vietnam's weightlifting team secured its first bronze medal at ASIAD 2026 when Tran Minh Tri placed third in the men's 65kg category with a total lift of 309kg.

At 1:00 PM, Trinh Hai Khang will compete in the men's vault final for artistic gymnastics. At the same time, the Vietnamese women's football team will meet China in the quarterfinals.

At 5:30 PM, the men's football team will face Korea in the quarterfinals. Previously, Vietnam's U23 team finished second in Group C with four points, behind Uzbekistan. Korea, meanwhile, topped Group D with two victories against Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

On 24/9, the Vietnam Sports Delegation added one silver and seven bronze medals. Dinh Van Tam lost to Ou Jiaming of China in the men's 56kg Sanda final, earning Vietnam's first silver medal at ASIAD 2026.

Rowing contributed four bronze medals across the following events: women's coxless four, women's coxless pair, women's heavyweight double sculls, and men's coxless four. Tran Minh Tri secured a bronze in men's 65kg weightlifting, the NARAKA: Bladepoint team won a bronze, and the mixed 4x400m relay team comprising Ta Ngoc Tuong, Quach Thi Lan, Le Ngoc Phuc, and Nguyen Thi Ngoc also finished third with a time of 3 minutes 14,54 seconds.

After the competition day on 24/9, Vietnam has one gold, one silver, and 15 bronze medals at ASIAD 2026. The delegation ranks 20th overall and fifth in Southeast Asia.
