The international version of Naraka: Bladepoint garnered attention immediately upon its introduction by NetEase. In the game, users enter a martial arts-themed setting and engage in battles. Each match features up to 60 players, fighting until only one player (or a two/three-person team) remains.
Before entering a match, players choose and embody a representative hero to participate, utilizing a variety of weapons and playstyles, rather than focusing on stealth and long-range gunfights common in many traditional survival games.
The character system features distinct skill sets, creating unique playstyles for each choice. Each character has their own story, contributing to the fantasy world of Naraka: Bladepoint. The game introduces Eastern cultural, historical, and mythological elements to a global gaming community.
Since late 2022, NetEase has transformed this game into an esports title. The 2025 world championship marks its 4th season, gathering teams and players from North America, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia, and China. Earlier this year, the game also became one of the 13 esports titles at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
