VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2025 announces prize structure

The 42km champion of the third VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong will receive 15 million VND in cash, along with running shoes and a nutrition product set from sponsor Herbalife.

VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2025 is set to take place on 21/12, attracting over 14,000 athletes. Among them, 5,000 participants have registered for the 42km full marathon.

The event will feature a comprehensive prize structure, similar to other races in the VnExpress Marathon system, with awards for both overall winners and age group categories. The total prize value is nearly one billion VND.

For the full marathon (42km) distance, the male and female champions will each be awarded 15 million VND in cash, a pair of Goya Neo Pro 2.0 running shoes, and a set of nutrition products. The total value for each champion exceeds 23 million VND. Athletes finishing from second to fifth place will receive 12 million, 10 million, 9 million, and 8 million VND in cash respectively, along with gifts from event sponsors.

In the half marathon (21km) category, awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers. The champion will receive 8,5 million VND in cash, running shoes, and a nutrition product set, with a total value exceeding 16,5 million VND. The next two positions will be awarded 11,8 million VND and 10,8 million VND respectively.

For the 10km race, the first-place athlete will receive prizes with a total value exceeding 11,5 million VND, which includes 3,5 million VND in cash, running shoes, and nutrition products. Subsequent finishers will be awarded cash prizes ranging from 2 million to 2,5 million VND, accompanied by gifts.

The first-place prize for the 5km distance holds a total value exceeding 11 million VND, including 3 million VND in cash. The second and third place finishers will receive 10 million and 9,5 million VND respectively, with corresponding cash awards of 2 million and 1,5 million VND.

Beyond the overall awards, the organizers will also offer age group prizes for the 21km and 42km distances. This initiative aims to further motivate athletes. Detailed information on age group prizes is available on the event's official fanpage and website.
