The VnExpress Vung Tau International Half Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026, scheduled for 30/8, will debut a medal design deeply reflecting the local identity of Vung Tau. This inaugural event, part of the extensive VnExpress Marathon system, is set to attract about 7,000 athletes from Vietnam and abroad, who will traverse the city's scenic coastal routes.

At the medal's center, Tam Thang Tower is prominently featured with rising lines, representing Vung Tau's modern rhythm and development. This landmark, newly completed in 8/2025, was chosen as a highlight by organizers for its contribution to the coastal city's contemporary appearance. Runners will pass through this area on race day.
The medal also showcases the Vung Tau Lighthouse, over 160 years old and a symbol synonymous with the seaside city. Its image, facing the ocean, evokes a spirit of resilience and steadfastness, qualities inherent in long-distance runners. On either side, kites, a familiar sight in the skies above Back Beach every summer, add a touch that evokes the sea breeze, open spaces, and the lively atmosphere of the tourist city.
All symbols are cast in relief on a metal base using embossing techniques, combining shades of sea blue, red, and green. The rim, inspired by a gear shape, creates a robust feel. The ribbon uses pink, blue, and yellow tones, synchronized with the VnExpress Marathon system's identity. According to the organizers, each season's medal is designed to reflect the identity of the host locality.
The VnExpress Vung Tau International Half Marathon Herbalife Cup 2026 will feature three distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km. Aiming for an international model, it marks the 12th location in the VnExpress Marathon system and the 7th coastal city to host, following Ha Long, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Can Gio, and Hai Phong. The Super Early Bird registration phase is currently open, offering the most preferential prices for interested runners.
