According to the Premier League organizers, Jackson Tchatchoua is the fastest player, clocking over 37,3 km/h. The Wolverhampton full-back previously topped Serie A's speed charts last season, reaching 36 km/h while playing for Hellas Verona.
For comparison, the fastest human speed ever recorded was Usain Bolt's 44,7 km/h in the 100m race at the 2009 World Championships.

Tchatchoua's speed this year is about 1 km/h faster than the second-place player, fellow full-back Destiny Udogie of Tottenham. Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo ranks third among the fastest players, recording 36,3 km/h.
Pedro Neto of Chelsea and Anthony Gordon of Newcastle hold the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. The remaining players in the top 10 include Daniel James, Yankuba Minteh, Anthony Elanga, Nico O’Reilly, Kevin, and William Osula. Notably, neither Haaland nor Van de Ven made the top 10 this season, despite being considered among the league's quickest players in recent years.
Conversely, the slowest player in the Premier League is Nottingham Forest goalkeeper John Victor. Excluding goalkeepers, the slowest player is Joe Knight of Brighton, who reached a maximum speed of 20 km/h. The 20-year-old has had limited opportunities to improve this record, having played for just one minute.
None of the four slowest-rated players have played more than two minutes in the Premier League this season. Similar to Knight, Nehemiah Oriola (20,4 km/h) also played for about 60 seconds for Brighton, while Odsonne Edouard (23,8 km/h) and Harrison Armstrong (20,4 km/h) made brief appearances.
Among players who have logged 100 minutes or more, Diego Coppola is the slowest. The Italy player achieved a maximum speed of 24,1 km/h across his 107 minutes for Brighton. Harvey Elliott is considered the slowest English player, with a speed of just 24,9 km/h, while Mateo Kovacic, at 25,1 km/h, would likely trail if the Manchester City squad were to sprint.
