The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio, scheduled for 1/5, offers 5,000 runners a unique opportunity to discover Can Gio's distinctive locations while promoting green elements. The race course is meticulously designed to provide an engaging and exploratory experience, showcasing the diverse landscapes of this ecological region.
The journey begins within the Vinhomes Green Paradise urban area, specifically along Dai Lo Thoi Dai in the Vinh Tien area. This segment represents a new feature, previously unused in prior races, making participants the first to explore this expansive 2,870 ha ecological urban development. The area is spacious and open, flanked by numerous green trees, offering panoramic views of the Can Gio sea. Runners in the 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km distances will start early, enjoying the sunrise over the ocean.

Leaving the urban landscape, runners will encounter Hang Duong market, Can Gio's famous seafood market. The race timing coincides with the bustling morning activity as vendors receive fresh seafood from nearby fishing ports. This provides runners a glimpse into the local rhythm of life and the vibrant early morning atmosphere.
Runners tackling the 42 km distance will proceed along Duyen Hai road, the main artery leading to the former Can Thanh town and Can Gio's concentrated residential areas. This route also includes the Rung Sac temple and cemetery, a site commemorating soldiers who sacrificed during the war, adding a historical dimension to the run.
A significant highlight is the Rung Sac base historical site, a crucial war zone during the resistance war against the US. This area not only holds historical importance but is also set amidst a vast mangrove ecosystem, defining Can Gio's distinctive green environment. The section running through Rung Sac serves as the main transportation artery connecting Can Gio with central TP HCM. This path guides runners through the mangrove forest, linking residential areas, aquaculture zones, and tourist spots. For many, this is a symbolic segment of the race, embodying the organizers' vision of "running amidst nature."

The course also includes passages over bridges, such as the Ha Thanh 2 bridge. From these vantage points, runners can admire the extensive river systems and the vast green expanses of Can Gio. The Ha Thanh 2 bridge has recently undergone asphalt upgrades, ensuring an optimal experience for 21 km and 42 km runners. Additionally, the route passes the Rung Sac square area, a project nearing completion, expected to become a new public space for the community.
According to the organizers, the course design prioritizes both professional standards and an exploratory experience. Instead of a single landscape, runners will continuously transition through diverse environments, from coastal areas and mangrove forests to urban settings.
The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio starts at 4 a.m. on 1/5. Bib distribution for athletes will occur at Vincom Thao Dien, An Khanh ward, on 29/4, followed by an Expo area within Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio on 30/4.
To support participants, the organizers offer free accommodation registration exclusively for 42 km runners. The event also arranges a camping area adjacent to the pine forest and provides Xanh SM travel discounts for runners.
