Starting 10/12, travel agencies and ticket vendors must collect more detailed personal information from tourists, as required by the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board. This new regulation aims to enhance management and promote digital transformation.
Specifically, Vietnamese visitors must provide their citizen ID card information. For citizens not yet old enough to be issued a citizen ID card, their personal identification code should be used. International visitors must provide their passport information and nationality.
For children or individuals not eligible for identity documents, the information of their guardian or sponsor must be provided, including full name, citizen ID/passport number, and contact phone number for verification.
This identification information will be provided to ticket sales staff and controllers at Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port.
