Over the past week, the Barringtonia trees lining Truong Sa street, which runs along the Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe canal, have collectively shed their leaves, blanketing nearly one kilometer of sidewalk in gold. This creates a scene reminiscent of Hanoi's autumn.

Daily, from around 9h, many residents and tourists, primarily young people, gather along the road to take photos.

The Barringtonia trees along Truong Sa street were planted between 2011 and 2012. This planting was part of an urban renovation and beautification project aimed at revitalizing the Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe canal, with a total cost exceeding 500 billion VND.

Barringtonia, scientifically known as Barringtonia acutangula, is commonly planted across many localities in Vietnam. In Ho Chi Minh City, the trees typically begin to shed their leaves around September each year. Their leaves transition from green to yellow and red before falling from the branches.

Many young people invest in outfits and props, bringing professional cameras to capture moments on Ho Chi Minh City's golden leaf road.

Tang Gia Han, from Hoa Binh ward, expressed that the trees' beauty "exceeded expectations", offering a "pristine, truly autumnal feel". Han arrived early, avoiding crowds and easily finding good angles for many satisfying photos.

Bao Khanh, 25 years old, from An Nhon ward, has visited this road for photoshoots in previous years. She noted that this year, the trees shed their leaves uniformly, covering the entire stretch of road in vibrant gold, making it more beautiful than previous seasons.

Khanh suggested that visitors should arrive between 8h and 10h, when the gentle sunlight enhances the golden color of the leaves.

Along Truong Sa street, near the Barringtonia trees, there are many shops and cafes, making it convenient for visitors to combine their golden leaf photoshoot with a break and coffee.
