More than 70 US tourists are accusing Younique Ventures, a Maryland-based travel company owned by Kendra and Kelvin Brown, of abandoning them during a "Goddess Refresh Experience" tour in southern France this July. The women reported their trip was cut short by four days, forcing them to arrange their own travel and accommodation. Nearly three months later, many have yet to receive promised refunds for the canceled portion of the trip and incurred expenses.
According to the tourists, Kendra Brown informed the group that a flight issue prevented the itinerary from continuing. Dell Sibury, a participant, described the scene as chaotic as guests realized remaining activities and services were canceled. With the planned accommodation and activities for the final four days revoked, tourists had to cover costs out of pocket. Some purchased immediate flights back to the US, while others opted to stay in France and book return flights independently.

On Facebook, Younique Ventures explained that a last-minute aircraft change by the airline resulted in insufficient seats for the entire group. Rather than splitting the travelers, the company decided to end the program early, acknowledging the decision caused disappointment. While their contract did not mandate refunds in such circumstances, the company stated it would reimburse the value of the unused itinerary and reasonable travel costs for those who chose to return home.
The company attributed the refund delays to numerous guests initiating chargebacks through their banks. This, they claimed, impacted cash flow and prevented them from completing payments by the promised 60-day deadline. Younique Ventures announced it expected to provide an update on the situation on 2/10.
Beyond the incident in France, Younique Ventures has also postponed another tour to Australia and Fiji. One tourist reportedly filed a fraud complaint with the police after paying nearly 30,000 USD for a trip but receiving no flight or hotel confirmations.
