Hogging both armrests and rushing to stand up immediately after landing are the two most annoying behaviors for passengers, according to a new survey by HotelTonight, a last-minute booking app owned by Airbnb.
40% of participants identified passengers who take both armrests as the number one irritant. Following closely, 39% were annoyed by those who quickly stand up and crowd the aisle as soon as the plane touches down, even before the doors open.
Beyond these top two behaviors, the survey also highlighted several other passenger annoyances: overly talkative seatmates, being cut off when groups are invited to board earlier than specified, or being asked to switch seats.

Beyond onboard etiquette, this summer's travelers are also grappling with delayed and canceled flights, along with the pressure to find appealing yet affordable destinations. Many are even considering driving instead of flying to save money.
These concerns are changing how people travel: most travelers no longer buy new items before a trip, only bring carry-on luggage to avoid checked bag fees, and opt for more affordable restaurants and accommodations.
Despite more frugal spending, many still find ways to make their trips worthwhile: requesting late check-out for extra free rest time, maximizing hotel drinks and amenities, or proactively asking for a room upgrade at check-in.
