Visitors enjoy new year celebrations at Sun World Ha Long

Starting from the thu nhat day of Tet Binh Ngo, Sun World Ha Long opened its spring festival with traditional activities, lion dances, lucky money giveaways, and art minishows, attracting many visitors.

On the afternoon of the thu nhat day of Tet Binh Ngo (17/2), Sun World Ha Long welcomed visitors for its spring opening. The entertainment complex featured festive Tet decorations: large golden coins, red lanterns along pathways, blooming peach and apricot blossoms, and horse mascot displays for the Year of Binh Ngo. From early afternoon, visitors gathered at the Ocean Terminal and Sun Hill.

The Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu area drew visitors for photos with "An" (Peace) and "Loc" (Prosperity) frames, crafted from hundreds of gold-painted wooden tags. Tet Xam performances on the thu hai and fourth days offered traditional cultural highlights.

At Sun Hill, the "Vui hoi" (Joyful Festival) featured drum performances, spring-opening lion dances, and the God of Wealth distributing fortune. Visitors posed with the God of Wealth mascot for photos, wishing for a prosperous new year.

Simultaneously, the 100 visitors to Ocean Terminal on the thu nhat day received lucky money (lixi) and wishes for a prosperous new year. "My family from Ha Noi used the long Tet holiday to visit Ha Long for the spring festival. The atmosphere on the afternoon of the thu nhat day was lively, with lion dances and lucky money; my children loved it," shared Ms. Thu Ha (Cau Giay, Ha Noi).

The giant Tet Ludo game at the Sun Wheel area (held from the thu hai to fifth days) attracted young people and multi-generational families. Ngoc Minh (27 years old, Hai Duong) noted that she and her cousins often play folk games during Tet. Her thu nhat experience with the giant version, where she could ride a horse on the large board, delighted the group.

Beyond "Vui hoi," the "Thuong hoi" (Enjoying the Festival) area began on the afternoon of the thu nhat day with art minishows at Sun Stage and Japanese Garden. Performances from "Around Tet Vietnam" and "Khuc Hoa Xuan" offered humor and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere for visitors.

From the thu hai to fifth days of Tet (18-21/2), the festival continued with traditional experiences. At Sun Terminal, visitors could receive new year calligraphy from a scholar or join Dong Ho painting workshops. This activity, popular with families, helped children learn about traditional Tet culture.

Additionally, with Valentine's Day (14/2) recently passed, many miniature landscapes featured red and pink decorations, ideal for couples' photos.

Sun World Ha Long is a popular spring destination for northern visitors, located only hai-2,5 hours by oto from Ha Noi. It offers numerous traditional Tet entertainment activities, suitable for all ages, throughout the 9-day Tet holiday.

Despite the large number of visitors on the thu nhat day, everyone remained relaxed and queued orderly for an enjoyable spring day. "Opening from the afternoon of the thu nhat day offers visitors flexibility in choosing their travel time, allowing them to gather with family and start their festival experience on the thu nhat day of the new year," a representative stated.
