Photographs of US President Donald Trump at the signing ceremony for the Peace Council Charter in Davos, Switzerland, on 22/1, showed a noticeable bruise on his left hand. Earlier photos from the event and days prior did not show the bruise, leading to speculation about the US leader's health condition.
"I accidentally hit my hand on a table. I recommend you take aspirin if you want it to be good for your heart, but don't use it if you don't want to bruise easily," the US president told journalists on Air Force One.

Earlier this month, President Trump revealed he is regularly taking aspirin to prevent 'thick blood flowing through his heart'. Sean Barbabella, the US president's personal physician, stated that Trump takes 325 mg of aspirin daily to prevent cardiovascular disease.
The Mayo Clinic, a renowned medical center in the US, states that daily aspirin use can reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in people over 60, with the lowest commonly used dose being 81 mg. This means President Trump is taking aspirin at 4 times the typical dose.
At 79 years old, President Trump is the second oldest person to hold the US presidency, after his predecessor Joe Biden. His health has recently drawn attention with the appearance of bruises on his hands and the need for imaging tests. The US president sometimes closes his eyes at events, leading some to suggest he is dozing off.
The White House explained that the bruises were due to President Trump's frequent handshakes, and that regular aspirin use for cardiac protection could also lead to easy bruising. President Trump also denied reports of him dozing off in meetings, asserting he was merely relaxing.

The US administration last year reported that President Trump suffered from swollen legs due to chronic venous insufficiency. Medication or specialized procedures can manage this condition.
On 2/1, President Trump declared he was in perfect health. "I have excellently passed the cognitive test for the third consecutive time (answering 100% correctly), a feat no previous US president or vice president has achieved," he stated.
