A recent HK Express flight from Hong Kong to Fukuoka, Japan, saw a middle-aged male passenger suddenly lose consciousness, Hong Kong media reported on 21/5.
The flight crew promptly administered first aid and issued an announcement seeking medical professionals on board. Doctor Ryan Cheung quickly stepped forward to assist.
Doctor Cheung's prompt intervention subsequently garnered significant attention across Chinese social media, celebrated for both his commendable actions and his striking good looks. One passenger, posting on Xiaohongshu, described Cheung as a "very handsome man, over 1,85 meters tall".

As Cheung's images circulated widely, his identity was quickly established. Local media reports indicate that he is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong's medical faculty and previously served in the emergency department at Queen Mary Hospital.
Beyond his medical career, Cheung is also a keen sports enthusiast. His social media platforms frequently feature updates with workout photos and him playing the guitar.
Addressing his newfound online fame, Cheung posted on Instagram with the caption, "Thank you for the love from Xiaohongshu". He explained that he had recently taken a break from social media due to work commitments and exams.
