Bahrain's state-owned energy company, Bapco, later declared a "force majeure" due to the impact of the regional conflict. Under law, a force majeure event exempts the affected party from liability for non-performance or delayed performance of contractual obligations.
However, Bapco stated it would fully meet all domestic market demands and ensure uninterrupted supplies, thanks to proactive plans already in place.
Bahraini officials also announced on the same day that an Iranian drone attack on Sitra island the previous night had injured 32 people, four of whom were seriously hurt. Bahrain also reported on 8/3 that Iran targeted one of its seawater desalination plants.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to Gulf states on 7/3, asserting they would no longer be targets unless attacks targeting Iran originated from their territory.
However, Pezeshkian quickly retracted the statement, affirming that while Iran desired to "preserve and maintain friendly relations," it still "had the right" to defend itself against aggressive actions by the United States and Israel. Gulf nations subsequently continued to experience new attacks.
