The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command, Iran's supreme military authority, announced today that the Strait of Hormuz would be closed to vessels. "This is the first step in response to the enemy breaking its promise," the command stated.
Tehran clarified that this decision stems from Israel's ongoing attacks in southern Lebanon, which it described as a violation of an agreement signed by the US and Iran this week.
The command warned that if aggressive actions persist, further measures would be planned and implemented to compel the adversary to fulfill its obligations.
