The Times of Israel published photos on the morning of 30/6 showing dozens of people gathered outside the Binyamin Regional Brigade military base, a unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in the West Bank. The crowd chanted criticisms and held signs calling the unit's leaders "traitors".
Hebrew, citing military sources, reported that some extremist settlers tried to break into the base, throwing stones and spraying pepper spray at the soldiers.

"Dozens of Israeli civilians gathered at the entrance to the Binyamin Regional Brigade base. The protest turned violent, and some civilians attacked security forces, used pepper spray, and damaged military vehicles," the IDF reported.
Israeli border police used smoke grenades to disperse the crowd.
The rioting followed the injury of a 14-year-old in the West Bank last week. According to the IDF, a commander encountered a disturbance near the Kochav HaShachar settlement, where rocks were thrown at his vehicle. Believing the attackers to be Palestinian, the commander fired three warning shots into the air.
The IDF is investigating whether those shots hit the 14-year-old, leaving him in critical condition. However, the IDF also emphasized that the officer followed proper procedure.
Under international law, the West Bank is considered occupied territory, where Palestinians hope to establish their future state. Israel controls most of the area and has built settlements there.
