A Bombardier Challenger 650 crashed on the evening of 25/1 (morning of 26/1 Hanoi time) while taking off from Bangor International Airport in Maine. Emergency rescue teams immediately responded to the scene, leading to the airport's closure.

The condition of the 8 individuals aboard the aircraft remains unknown. Reuters quoted an official who reported a large fire broke out following the crash.

Federal records indicate the aircraft is registered to a company based in Houston, Texas. The crash occurred during severe weather conditions, with temperatures in Maine well below freezing and snowfall drastically reducing visibility.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will collaborate with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) to investigate the incident.
