Receiving Prime Minister Le Minh Hung at the airport on 9/10 were Cambodian Minister of Planning Bin Trachhai, a representative from the National Committee for Organizing National and International Festivals, Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Touch Sopharath, and leaders from the functional departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representing Vietnam were Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu and embassy staff, according to VGP.
This marks Prime Minister Le Minh Hung's first official visit to Cambodia, occurring four months after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet's official visit to Vietnam. The two nations are set to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations in 2027.

During the visit, Vietnamese and Cambodian leaders are expected to promote cooperation in education and training, human resource development, science and technology, and several new areas aligning with each nation's development needs. People-to-people exchanges, especially among the youth, will also be enhanced.
Vietnam and Cambodia established relations in 1967. Bilateral trade turnover has achieved high growth, with the first eight months of 2026 alone reaching 8,7 billion USD, an 8,3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Tourist arrivals between the two countries reached approximately one million. Notably, Cambodian visitors to Vietnam totaled 565,000, marking a 40,8% increase in the first half of 2026.
