"Viet Nam-Laos relations are nurtured not only by leaders but also by the people, at the grassroots level, and through the strong, effective bonds between communities, citizens, and businesses of both countries," Prime Minister Le Minh Hung stated on 9/10. He made the remarks during a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, where he met with associations and the Vietnamese community.
Nguyen Minh Tam, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Laos, reported that the Vietnamese community in Laos currently numbers about 100,000 people. They reside, study, and work across all 18 provinces. Pham Van Hung, a representative of the General Association of Vietnamese in Laos, noted that the community prioritizes preserving the Vietnamese language, educating younger generations, maintaining cultural activities, and staying connected to their homeland.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung commended Vietnamese entrepreneurs and associations in Laos for their active investment, business endeavors, and job creation. He also recognized their efforts in organizing community-building activities, maintaining ties with their homeland, and making positive contributions to the great and special friendship between Viet Nam and Laos.
The Prime Minister expressed his desire for the community to continue fostering solidarity, actively integrating, and respecting the laws of the host country. He also urged them to educate younger generations about their homeland's traditions, national origins, and the bilateral relationship.

Acknowledging Laos is undergoing a significant transformation with many emerging opportunities, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung called on entrepreneurs and overseas Vietnamese to remain dynamic, innovative, and proactive in expanding their investments and businesses. He also encouraged them to strengthen economic connectivity between the two countries.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung expressed confidence that the Vietnamese community in Laos will continue to develop robustly, making increasingly practical contributions to Viet Nam, to Laos' development, and to fostering bilateral relations.
