The Portugal national team's plane from the US landed at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport at 6:15 h on 8/7. While several dozen fans gathered before dawn, Ronaldo did not exit with most of his teammates. Instead, the Portugal captain separated from the group, heading directly to a black private jet parked nearby.
Before boarding his aircraft, Ronaldo paused to shake hands and smile at airport staff, also greeting other members of the delegation. A video of this interaction, showing the 41-year-old superstar's approachable demeanor, quickly circulated on social media.
Data from Flightradar24 confirmed Ronaldo's Bombardier Global Express XRS private jet departed Lisbon at 7:05 h on 8/7, landing in Madrid at 7:55 h.
The Bombardier Global Express XRS is a long-range private jet, powered by two Rolls-Royce engines. It boasts an operating range of about 11,500 km, enabling intercontinental travel without refueling. Its maximum speed reaches approximately 950 km/h, depending on load and weather.
The cabin can carry 14 passengers and provides sleeping arrangements for up to 5. Its interior features cream tones with wood paneling, divided into areas for work, living, or rest. Amenities include: two restrooms, a kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, along with high-speed Internet and an entertainment system.

The aircraft's distinctive black and gray paint scheme attracts attention. This design was on the jet when Ronaldo bought it in 2024 and he chose to keep it. He only added his CR7 emblem and signature celebration pose next to the cabin door, personalizing the aircraft. Didier Wolff, a designer specializing in custom aircraft paint schemes, suggested Ronaldo chose this striking look to express his personality and openly use his private jet.
Valued between 57-81 million USD, Ronaldo stated in a November 2025 interview that this jet was his most expensive purchase. It replaced a Gulfstream G200 he acquired in 2015 for approximately 22 million USD. The private jet provides the Portuguese forward greater flexibility for frequent travel between Portugal, Spain, and Saudi Arabia, where he plays for Al Nassr.
Portugal's World Cup campaign concluded after a 0-1 loss to Spain in the round of 16 on 6/7. Ronaldo had previously confirmed this would be his final World Cup.
